Lyrical music to one’s ears
Tells a story, or shows a scene
In a flash, a simple line of
Carefully selected words; lean
Strung together
On a washing line of verse
Listen carefully for the rhythm
And its movement; quite diverse
Well measured syllables
Adding depth and layers to each line,
Creating texture or smoothing out its edges
Turning water into wine
